Stowe High School Eligibility Amendment 4-4-08.01
Students who are academically ineligible are expected to participate in all practices and attend games, matches, and contests in dress wear not in uniform, as part of the team. However, they are not permitted to miss classroom instruction to attend practices, games, matches, contests or team functions.
Athletes who have not been cleared to play (by submitting proof of insurance, an emergency form, and record of a current physical) shall not participate in practices or games and are not permitted to miss classroom instruction to attend practices, games, matches, contests or team functions.
Head coaches shall have the discretion to temporarily prohibit athletes who are ineligible from attending practices, games, matches, contests or team functions so that they can focus on academics and coaches shall notify in writing, the Athletic Director of such exclusions.
Academic Ineligibility begins Monday 8:00 AM on the Monday following the check. Coaches shall notify their players. Students may regain eligibility status as soon as;
1. Athletes go to the HS office and request a copy of their class schedule and the
2. Athletes get signatures from all teachers, making sure that the teacher notes their new grade and signs the schedule and the
3. Athletes return the form to the Administrative Assistant or Secretary for their signature; the athlete must request a copy of the form to bring to their coach.
4. Coaches will permit athletes to return to the team only when they are handed a copy of their athlete’s class schedule signed by the appropriate teacher and the administration or receive notification from the Athletic Director.
5. The exception would be an athlete who became ineligible to due a report a card grade must sit out for one full week before being declared eligible

Baseball and Softball Scrimmages postponed
Baseball & Softball scrimmages @ Proctor on 4/7 have been postponed without a reschedule date pending. If the weather permits a rescheduling date may be discussed.
